Hello! I’m Kate and prior to the arrival of my son, I was teaching students in Hong Kong aged between 2-5 years old, for roughly 5 years.
As many parents will relate, becoming a mum was a massively eye-opening experience – and without a doubt, the biggest shock had to be the lack of sleep and the effect that had on my general well-being. After all these years, I could finally relate to my own mum’s reasoning for only having one child…the lack of sleep!
However, that does not have to be the case. By eleven months enough was enough and I finally enrolled on a sleep program; that’s when motherhood changed completely, for the better! By the end of the first week my son had slept through the night and I was already starting to feel like a new person. Going down without a fuss, sleeping through the night, waking at a reasonable time in the morning and being a much happier, healthier baby during the day was truly life changing and I knew I had to share this with other families. We don’t need to have anxiety around bedtimes and struggle through the night; by working together we can get your whole family sleeping again!
The training I have undertaken and the training plan I will write for you, is based on the exact sleep training approach used to get my own son sleeping through the night. Since the course, I am now able to kiss my son goodnight, leave his room at 7pm and know I won’t be seeing him again until after 7am. This has transformed the lives of me and my husband, allowing quality hours of an evening to have some much deserved ‘us time’.
I truly believe all parents deserve the evening hours to themselves, whether that be to catch up on work, take a bath, watch some TV or simply to just be you. Whatever it is, I know the tiring days with a little one will mean you’ve earned the choice!
